Forrest City Medical Center Hires New Chief Nursing Officer
Forrest City, AR (April 9, 2009) – Forrest City Medical Center has hired Tanya Hughes as the new Chief Nursing Officer.
Hughes earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Phillips County Community College in Helena, Arkansas. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County, and Masters of Science with a specialization in Advanced Care Management in Leadership from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. She is currently pursing a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University in Prescott, AZ. She brings to Forrest City Medical Center more than 20 years of nursing experience.

Hughes is a member of several professional organizations and holds several nursing certifications. Hughes has been recognized for her achievements and contributions to nursing in her receiving of the Star Award and the African American Women of Excellence Award.
“I am honored and very excited to have been selected as the CNO for Forrest City Medical Center” says Hughes. “My ideals and values of nursing were shaped by the outstanding training that I received at Phillips County Community College, and because of that, I am proud to have the opportunity to return to the area and serve my community again.”
