Mable Peacock Named Patient Choice Award Winner

Forrest City, Arkansas — When Forrest City Medical Center asked former patients to nominate exceptional nurses who exceeded expectations, the community responded.

The Patient Choice Award recognizes the quality care, comfort and compassion offered by the nurses at Forrest City Medical Center, and honors one nurse in particular. As part of National Nurse’s Week, May 6-12, and National Hospital Week, May 11- 15, Mable Peacock, R.N., was presented with the award during hospital week activities. Forrest City Medical Center asked former patients to spotlight an exceptional nurse because patients are the ones directly impacted by outstanding care.

“Mable is a very valuable member of our team,” says Tanya Hughes, Chief Nursing Officer for Forrest City Medical Center. “She is willing and ready to assist in the training of our nurses. She takes every opportunity to mentor and groom a new nurse.”

“Mable is always nice. And, she is very good at explaining what she is doing in my care,” wrote the patient who nominated Peacock. “I always have a good experience because of her.”
