Emergency Department
You do not plan to visit the emergency department. It just happens, and usually when you least expect it.
The Emergency Department was expanded in summer 2008 from 1,700 square feet to around 6,500 square feet and now has 10 private treatment rooms which was increased from six rooms, none of which were private.
The Emergency Department at Forrest City Medical Center is staffed 24 hours a day with a team of qualified physicians and nurses. On call physicians are available in many specialized areas. The staff of the Emergency Department strives to provide professional, timely and skilled care to our community and surrounding area.
The Emergency Department is also supported 24 hours a day by our ancillary departments including x-ray, CT scan, Laboratory and Respiratory services.
We can provide the care you need while staying close to home. Whatever your emergency, it is our aim to reduce your wait time. Our team can treat a range of illnesses from minor conditions to life threatening illnesses.
