Providing 24-hour support to Forrest City Medical Center, a wide complement of radiology imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients. High resolution and spiral CT scanning (including the GE Light Speed CT Scanner), nuclear medicine, ultrasound, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and general/fluoroscopic radiography are available to provide diagnostic evaluation for our community.

Nuclear Medicine is a form of imaging which uses special, low dose radioactive procedures to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Ultrasound is when sound waves reflect or bounce off an organ, they help define its shape, density, and functionality giving the physician a safe and reliable tool to use in evaluating a patient’s condition. Echocardiography is available with our modern-day equipment.

Forrest City Medical Center MRI (Magnetic Resonance Image) offers modern technology, with high accuracy, as well as comfort. MRI uses strong magnets to see through bone and soft tissue (muscle, fat and internal organs). This information is especially valuable in the diagnosis of brain and nervous system disorders, certain cancers and musculoskeletal problems.
