Senior Care Unit

Well-Being Poor physical health can impair mental health - and mental health disorders, such as depression or anxiety, can affect physical health.

Senior Care is an 18 bed geriatric behavioral health unit located on the 3rd floor of Forrest City Medical Center. Senior Care provides compassionate, quality care to persons over 55 years of age, who are suffering from:

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Paranoia
• Confusion
• Agitation and/or Aggression
• Suicidal thoughts or behaviors
• Sudden inability to manage day to day activities including, medication management, eating or sleeping changes

Patient care is provided through a multidisciplinary approach. Each patient is supported by a Psychiatrist, Medical Physician, 24-hour nursing staff, licensed social worker, activity therapist, physical therapist and Dietician.

Treatment is individualized to meet the specific need of each patient and to provide a positive and supportive environment in which the individual may achieve their optimal level of health and wellness.

Referrals can be made through a physician, psychiatrist, human service organiztion, family member or care giver. Assessments are free and confidential.
